It started more than 30 years ago. We built a bungalow and we could keep Welsh ponies there. In 1980 we bought the first Welsh pony. The in 1974 born Welsh NWR grey mare Greuningen Angeliek. In 1980 Angeliek becames reserve champion on the regional show in Roden

Also in 1980 we bought the chestnut mare foal Agatha. In 1986 Agatha received her STER predicate. Later ze became the bigmother of our Welsh NWR breeding stud.

Both Angeliek and Agatha became mares of us as breedingmares, when Angeliek stopped being in foal we had exchange with the mare Wester Aikema's Rosette. Rosette had been our breedingmare for some years, and gave us some ponies; Beukenhof's Sandra, Beukenhof's Marina, Beukenhof's Monica. When sandra was sold she quickly went to Germany were she had a good sport carriere. We also sold Marina which had been our breedingmare for some years and Monica also.

From Oh Dehlia’s offspring come Beukenhof's Johanna en Beukenhof's Imka. During that time Johanna did the IBOP harness test and made ​​a profit by as much as 101 points. Beukenhof's Imka was youngstockchampion in 1992.

In 1993 she was best 3 years old mare on the regional show in Stadskanaal and in 1994 she was overall champion on the regional show in Tolbert and that year she became STER. In 1994 she did the IBOP and in 1995 she was defently KEUR.

Also out Agatha comes Beukenhof's Jessica. Jessica had every time on a show a first premium and she is also going to Kootwijk for some years but never STER. The sons and daughters of Jessica does it really good in sport and breeding. In 2009 sold we Jessica to Germany  http://www.reuschbachhof.de/. She is there also a breeding mare and have some foalschampions in Germany.

The quality that Agatha brings to Sabina, Has also given to her sons and daughters. Because who does not know the stallion Beukenhof's Jordy? Beukenhof's Jordy graded in 1998 as stallion. That Jordy not only a image is demonstrated by the performance test where he is whopping 4 nine's scores. Jordy is striking to his happy, friendly and willing to work character, as demonstrated later also passed it to his offspring.

Beukenhof's Alexander is a son of the stallion Bokkesprong Czardas his mother is Beukenhof's Sabina KEUR. He is a half brother of Beukenhof's Jordy. Alexander had achieved on the stallionshow. He is sold as three year old to Belgium where he came to Ine Theuwissen. Together they managed to win lots of prizes. They have been in the Flemish Eventing Team and participated in the Europian championships for ponies. With the team they were 6th on the Europian championships. Togheter they are a good combination. Later he was sold to Italy where he also rode on international level

Beukenhof's Alexander

Another really lovely daughter of Beukenhof's Sabina is Beukenhof's Helena she is a daughter of the stallion Wester aikema's Adios. As a three year old mare she got to the STER predicate. And as a four year old ze became the Voorlopig Keur predicate and she was placed in the 1ste place on a group of more than 20 ponies this was on the national show in 2004.

The first foal of Beukenhof's Helena is the brown son Beukenhof’s Ricardo. This as a foal descendant of Morgenlands Fabian. Ricardo achieved as foal a first premium on the regional show in Stadskanaal. As three year old he was going to the stallion show where he got no further than the 1st viewing. Ricardo stay in the Netherlands and has been successfully with the amazone Nanette Boerree. She was stayed with him on international level and was recorded to the B-kader. When she was to old for the international level they sold him to Sweden to the Norwegian rider Lerke Nordum. Also they are really succesfully on international niveau maintained in 2013 for the first time on th Europian championships for pony dressage. Ricardo was only 9 years old. They were 29th in the individual trial of 52 combinations.

Welsh A

I love many of the Welsh Nwr but also the Welsh A pony. The first Welsh A pony was already stabled in 1983. This was the grey mare Polhaar's Truida.

When I go tinto the VUT I wanted to a own stallion. The choice was on the brown stallion Zonneweide's Nico. In particular was the collour and excellent movements of this stallion attracted us.

Whe had also had own mares at Zonneweide's Nico inter alia Ruimzichts Stephanie voorlopig keur. Ruimzichts Stephanie gives us inter alia in 1997 the coltfoal Beukenhof's Jordy (Zonnenweide's Nico) during the stallion of 2000 the 2nd viewing managed to reach. When he was Three years old our granddaughter Linda van Klinken was riding him. They were succesful in the jumping class they won a lot and I became champion in the dressage class in 2004.

Mulligens Winnie is a daughter of Boreas Ubbo. When we bought her she was in foal of Springbourne Claret. Out of this combination came Beukenhof’s Wilma. Winnie gave us really good ponies.

The first foal that Winnie brought us was the fox-colored mare foal Beukenhof’s Wilma. When she was four years old she got the STER-predicat and as five years old she became Voorlopig Keur predicat. In 2002 Wilma was champion of the older mares and she was overall champion of the show from the “Vriendenkring”. She brought us some foalchampions.

Whe had also the STER mare Elferinks Hilly some years on our stable. She was the daughter of the stallion Nachtegaal’s Captain and her mother is Elferinks Hilde. Hilly was reserve champion on the regional show in Tolbert 1998.

A very nice offspring of Hilly is the stallion Beukenhof’s Barry father Zonneweide’s Nico. Barry the 2nd viewing retrieved on the stallion show.

Beukenhof’s Sandra was a beautifull offspring of Beukenhof’s Wilma she was a daughter of Coelenhage’s Jarno. Sandra is in 2005 foal champion on the show.

Another nice offspring of Beukenhof’s Wilma is the brown mare Beukenhof’s Nina she is a daughter of the Englisch stallion Cui Pendragon. As foal she was foal champion on the show of the “Vriendenkring”. And as 2 years old she became youngstock champion on the same show.
